1. Who We Are

Amstel Aces is operated by Amstel Aces Studios B.V. Our registered office is at Kneuterdijk 8, 2514 EN Den Haag (Chamber of Commerce no. 22414788). We are the data controller for personal data collected through amstelaces.com. You can reach us at support@amstelaces.com.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation (EU) 2016/679) as applicable in the Netherlands, supplemented by the Dutch Implementation Act (UAVG, Uitvoeringswet AVG). The Dutch supervisory authority is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (AP).

2. Data We Collect

• Account data: email address, chosen display name, and age-verification confirmation when you register.
• Usage data: pages visited, game session lengths, button interactions, and device type — collected anonymously via Cloudflare Web Analytics (no personal identifiers stored).
• Support data: name and email address when you contact us at support@amstelaces.com, plus the content of your message.
• Cookie and consent data: your cookie-consent choice (stored in localStorage.__cc_v1) and age-gate confirmation (__age_ok). See our Cookie Policy for full details.

We do not collect payment card numbers, bank details, or any real-money transaction data — Amstel Aces has no payment functionality.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To run and maintain your account and save your Guilder Chip balance.
• To respond to support enquiries within 24 business hours.
• To understand aggregate usage patterns and improve game performance (anonymised analytics only).
• To comply with our legal obligation to restrict access to users aged 18 and over.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use it for profiling, automated decision-making, or targeted advertising based on individual behaviour.

4. Lawful Basis

Account data is processed on the basis of contract performance (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) — you need an account to use the service. Age verification is processed on the basis of legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)) — we are required to restrict access to adults. Analytics are processed on the basis of legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)) — understanding aggregate use helps us improve the Parlour. Support data is processed on the basis of legitimate interest in responding to your request.

5. Data Retention

Account data is kept for as long as your account is active, plus 12 months after closure for compliance purposes. Support emails are retained for 24 months. Anonymised analytics data is retained for 30 days. Cookie consent records are kept for 12 months.

6. Third Parties

We use Cloudflare for hosting, CDN, and anonymous analytics. Cloudflare may set security cookies; details are in our Cookie Policy. No other third-party processors have access to personal data. We do not share data with advertising networks.

7. Your Rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to: access your data; correct inaccurate data; request erasure; restrict processing; data portability; object to processing; and to lodge a complaint with the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (ap.nl). To exercise any right, email support@amstelaces.com. We respond within 30 days.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
